Hi Kate and team
ReplyDeleteNot sure exactly what you are looking for but here is a quick try at this, let me know if I'm off the mark with what we need at this point.

Classroom 3, Section 01: Kites
1:00:06:04 from "The kids have been really interested in kites..." to 1:00:27:09 "kites all over the classroom"
For: Inquiry-based learning - how does an inquiry get started from the "interests" of the kids
I think we should get rid of the section from 1:00:27:09 to 1:00:27:09 where she talks about buying the CD and singing - starts to sound too much like a "theme" rather than an inquiry.
1:00:37:23 "so we ended up with the question..." to 1:01:25:04 "...theories might change.." for
Inquiry-based learning - questions to guide the inquiry and developing theories
1:01:16:09 "we kinda looked at a lot of these theories and....1:02:18:18 "needed different materials" - conducting the inquiry and testing theories
1:02:19:11 "I can see here...to 1:03:06:21 "that's fantastic" - need to make connection between this piece of the inquiry with the fans and the kites; also need to make a connection back to the expectations for the whole inquiry
1:03:08:07 "you know it just reminds me..." to 1:03:38:07 "watching the children" - this segment is really good for talking about the K-Grade 1 connection. Not sure where to use it but let's not lose it!
1:03:38:11 "so today" to the end - next steps in the inquiry - we might need to do something (in the guide, in a voice over??) that talks about what happens when the theories are reviewed; whether all the children stay with this inquiry or some move off to something else at certain points, and why this is ok if they do?
